Ansu Fati has been talking about his future after returning from Barcelona following a season-long loan with Premier League side Brighton.
The forward wasn’t really able to show his best form on a consistent basis with the Seagulls, leaving his future uncertain once again.
However, Fati has made it clear that his dream is to become a regular at Barcelona and he feels time is still on his side.
“Since I arrived here when I was 10 years old, my dream is to succeed at Barça. These last few years have not been easy, but it is part of football. I am 21 years old and I have to continue growing, but I have the hope of being able to return all the love I receive from the culés,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“Every day on the street I meet people who encourage me and continue to love me here. That gives me motivation and drives me to continue fighting for this club and give my best.”
Fati is also dreaming of being the first player to score in the renovated Camp Nou. Barca are hoping to return to their famous old home later this year.
“I scored last at the Camp Nou and I wish I could score first. In the end, my intention is to continue showing that I can contribute a lot to this club,” he explained.
It’s not quite clear what will happen with Fati. There has been speculation Hansi Flick will check on him in pre-season before making a decision on his future, with another loan spell having also been rumored.
