‘Admirable’: Tottenham Hotspur told to sign £200,000-a-week Manchester United player

TalkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino has said that Manchester United defender Harry Maguire would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Chelsea player has said on talkSPORT that Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire would make Tottenham Hotspur a better team at the back.
Cascarino made the comments about the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international defender while discussing the future of the United player.
Football Transfers reported in May that Tottenham are among the clubs who are keen on signing the 30-year-old in the summer of 2023.
The report claimed that United would be willing to sell the former Leicester City defender for £40 million.
Cascarino said about Maguire, as transcribed by TBR: “There will be clubs after Harry [Maguire].
“Would you say that he would do Tottenham any harm? I think he’s way better than anyone Tottenham have got.
“What do you do, you get a quick centre-half alongside him. You want someone with pace and Harry I think would do an admirable job.
“He’s a decent player and he’s gone through a bad time and there’s lots of players who have this experience in their career.
“Who is going to excite him and reignite his career? Would it be Spurs? Now, some Spurs fans might not want a [Manchester] United reject. Harry’s an England international with a lot of experience and has done very well.”

Tottenham Hotspur should consider Manchester United defender Harry Maguire
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should consider a move for Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire in the summer transfer window.
While it is true that the Englishman has not been at his best at Old Trafford, we cannot ignore how good he was at Hull City and Leicester City.
And Maguire always does well when he plays for England.
At United, there is huge pressure to succeed.
Tottenham would not have the same kind of pressure and scrutiny.
Spurs will be aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season.
And Maguire’s quality and experience would enhance Spurs’ chances of achieving success in that quest.
