AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli says his team remains at the beginning of their cycle.
Pioli has highlighted the youth of his team ahead of their Champions League semifinal against Inter Milan.
He told the New York Times: “This Milan that won the Scudetto last year was the youngest team in history to do so. A club must have a project. Ours was very clear: investing in young and talented players and then give them time to grow.
“The club was smart in making sure there was a mix (with experienced players). That’s why we managed to get such good results in such a short time. Sometimes a coach he can say something and that has an impact.
“But sometimes a teammate, a champion, also helps. Everything is done with the same goal.”
