‘A lot of problems’: Agbonlahor urges manager to now snub Tottenham in favour of ‘bigger job’
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Brentford manager Thomas Frank to steer clear of the Tottenham Hotspur job.
The controversial pundit made this claim on talkSPORT, who is unlikely to leave the Bees anytime soon.
Now, Gabby Agbonlahor has said that Thomas Frank would be making the right decision by turning down the Tottenham Hotspur manager job.
Gabby Agbonlahor tells Brentford manager Thomas Frank to reject Tottenham
The West London side finished ninth in the Premier League, defying several pre-season expectations about them potentially getting relegated.
Frank once again did a remarkable job to lead his side to a top-half finish, whilst playing an eye-catching brand of football as well.
Now, Gabby Agbonlahor has said that even if the Tottenham Hotspur manager job presents itself, Thomas Frank should stay put at Brentford.
“I wouldn’t, if I’m Thomas Frank go to Spurs at the moment. A lot of problems, no sporting director, how much money you’re going to have to spend. I think if I’m him, I’m waiting for a bigger job than Spurs.”
“Stay at Brentford, you’re doing an outstanding job there. Little bit more investment, why can’t Brentford push for Europe next season? They were so close, they can do it again.”
Thomas Frank should stay right where he is
Gabby Agbonlahor is spot on, as while the opportunity to become the next Tottenham manager is a major one, Thomas Frank has no reason to say yes to it.
As Agbonlahor said, Spurs have an endless list of problems to solve already and Frank would be walking into a poisoned chalice by heading to N17.
Unless an offer from a top side is on his door, the Dane should stay at Brentford, where he continues to make miracles come true, who also operate like a club with sizable ambitions.
Tottenham, on the other hand must be run like one of the biggest clubs in the world for such highly-rated managers to find it impossible to reject them.
