With the mercato open, and a new season officially started, AC Milan can now make Francesco Camarda’s contract official, a report has suggested this morning.
Whilst at times it seemed like a battle for Milan, the Francesco Camarda situation never seemed that way for the club. Instead, they knew the information, they knew the love, and most importantly, they knew the boy, who can now become a man with the Rossoneri.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, and several others made attempts to lure him away from his home, and the place he loves, but ultimately, it was only going to be the Diavolo.
With the agreement in place, the formalities can now be completed, and the work can begin for Camarda to take the next steps, or as he has done throughout his career, leaps forward, by officially becoming a professional with Milan, as Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) confirms.
The delay in his signature has been intentional, had he signed yesterday, Milan would have had until the summer of 2026 to renegotiate a new contract, due to the regulations on contracts for players under 18. However, waiting has now given the Rossoneri an extra year of security, and a new deal will be signed until 2027.
Perhaps, this may be the Diavolo’s biggest play of the summer – getting an extra year of security, due to a few months.
