The summer transfer window is nearly open once again but work is very much underway in the Premier League as the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are stepping up plans to bolster their squads ahead of next season.

Arsenal, still aiming for the title, will go again next year and are ready to call upon further reinforcements in order to finally usurp Manchester City and claim English football’s top prize. Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig has been rumoured lately, but Mikel Arteta will hope to fill a number of spots in his squad.

United are focused on outgoings while Erik ten Hag’s future remains uncertain, but the likes of Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial have already bid farewell on the Old Trafford pitch following their 3-2 victory over Newcastle on Wednesday night.

Chelsea have no plans to slow down their mass spending spree under Todd Boehly and co, but Mauricio Pochettino appears to want a few more experienced heads in the squad to compliment their growing youth revolution.

The 22-year-old is on the shortlist of many of Europe’s biggest clubs.

United are reportedly one of them.

Leeds face ‘fire sale’ if they fail in Premier League promotion bid

Leeds face Norwich in the second leg of their play-off semi-final this evening.

But Premier League clubs are reportedly predicting a ‘fire sale’ of Leeds’ best players if the club fails to win promotion to the top-flight.

The Daily Mail claims that several Leeds stars could leave this summer if the club remains in the Championship. Leeds may reportedly need to raise £100m.

Willy Gnonto, Archie Gray and Crycensio Summerville have all attracted interest.

Antony update emerges as Man Utd star linked with exit

Antony has recently been linked with an exit from Manchester United after a tough season.

However, Fabrizio Romano has told Give Me Sport that the Brazilian’s future currently lies at Old Trafford.

Antony has scored just one Premier League goal this season and has struggled for consistency.

Liverpool ‘unlikely’ to sign former rival

Liverpool are unlikely to sign former Everton winger Anthony Gordon, according to The Athletic.

Gordon, who now plays for Newcastle, has admirers at Anfield but a deal could be too expensive in Arne Slot’s first summer transfer window.

Arsenal in ‘pole position’ for striker target

Arsenal are in pole position to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Sesko has been in excellent form recently, scoring in each of his last six games.

Arsenal are likely to improve their forward line in the summer and might see the 6ft5in Sesko as the ideal No 9.

Aymeric Laporte ready to quit Saudi Arabia

Former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is reportedly ready to leave Saudi Arabia after less than a year alongside Cristiano Ronaldo with Al Nassr.

Spanish outlet Marca claim that Laport wants to return back to Spain with Athletic Club, though is aware that he will have to take a sizable wage reduction to do so.

Laporte is said to have struggled to adapt to life in the Middle East and wants to return to Europe, which all parties are amicable to, but work still needs to be done to complete a transfer.

William Saliba chased by trio

Arsenal defender William Saliba is attracting interest from three top European clubs after another stellar Premier League season.

CaughtOffside claim that Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all set their sights on Saliba to improve their backlines.

He signed a new contract last year until the end of the 2026/27 season and it would take a huge fee for Arsenal to consider letting the Frenchman leave.

Crysencio Summerville eyed by Liverpool

Leeds will likely be forced to part ways with star man Crysencio Summerville if they fail to secure promotion back to the Premier League via the play-offs.

The Daily Mail claim that due to financial pressure, Championship Player of the Year Summerville would be the leading candidate to exit Elland Road.

He has been scouted by Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Liverpool in recent months and would cost in excess of £30million.

Arsenal close in on terms for Ferdi Kadioglu

Arsenal are reportedly seeking to agree on personal terms for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu.

RMC Sport claim that talks are ongoing with the player’s camp in order to find a solution that would bring him to north London.

However, no such discussions have taken place with the defender’s club. Once an agreement on personal terms can be found, Arsenal can then begin to discuss a potential transfer with Fenerbahce.

Jadon Sancho backed to snub Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund icon Paul Lambert has tipped Jadon Sancho to stay with the Champions League finalists and turn down a return to Manchester United.

There is no option in Sancho’s loan deal for Dortmund to purchase him outright, but they are expected to negotiate with the Red Devils over that matter, with Lambert in favour of a permanent stay in the Bundesliga.

“At Dortmund, Sancho has gone into a really good dressing room, a good culture with good guys and he gets respect,” Lambert explained to Betway.

“At Man Utd it could have been an absolute nightmare for him. He may have not liked the way it was or it might not have been what he thought it would be.

“Being back at Dortmund, with some of the players that were there when he left. He’s playing with one of the biggest clubs in European football without a shadow of doubt.

“Why would he want to go back to United? He’s in the Champions League semi-final, he could be a Champions League winner.”

Liverpool facing Atalanta repeat

Liverpool remain interested in Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners but his future may be decided late in the transfer window.

TuttoJuve claim that Atalanta are aware of interest from Juventus for Koopmeiners, but are prepared to repeat their Rasmus Hojlund trick and wait until later in the summer to sell.

The Serie A side appear to be hoping for a bidding war and if Liverpool do stake their claim for the Dutchman, Atalanta may have no issue waiting for other suitors to emerge.

Everton braced for Jarrad Braithwaite offer

Manchester United are reportedly planning to bid £55million for Everton defender Jarrad Braithwaite.

The England Under-21 international has impressed under Sean Dyche and could be the next star to bolster United’s defence.

The Daily Mail say that United will test Everton’s resolve, knowing that they want to keep Branthwaite at all costs but do have to consider their precarious financial position.

Manchester City eye Jeremie Frimpong

Manchester City have spoken to Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong over the possibility of signing him this summer.

HITC claim that negotiations have taken place about joining Pep Guardiola’s outfit after a stellar season for the Bundesliga champions.

He is a graduate of City’s academy but was linked with a move to neighbours Manchester United over the past few years, though City are attempting to sneak in ahead.

Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Aston Villa all also retain an interest in Frimpong.

West Ham stance on Mohammed Kudus sale

It would only take a ‘crazy’ bid for West Ham to consider selling Mohammed Kudus this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that although Kudus does have a release clause in his contract, the Hammers are not commenting about it.

The clause may not even come into effect this summer, ensuring that West Ham hold all the cards, with Kudus attracting interest from Champions League-level clubs.

Saudi Arabia plot Liverpool raid

Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Alisson have reportedly been targeted by the Saudi Pro League this summer.

The Guardian claim that Salah is said to be an ‘obvious target’ after a bid of £150million was rejected by Liverpool just over a year ago.

Alisson is also of interest to several teams in the Middle East, though does have three years left on his Anfield contract.

There is recognition in Saudi that a greater competitive throughout the league is necessary, with clubs not backed by the Public Investment Fund attracting sponsorship to be able to seek out big-name stars.

Arsenal contact Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal have contacted Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes’ camp over a potential summer switch to the Emirates.

That’s according to CaughtOffside, who claim that due to Newcastle’s precarious financial position they could be forced to part ways with the Brazilian.

Arsenal are said to have contacted Guimaraes’ team, likely to discuss personal terms, as he has a £100million release clause for part of the summer.

Napoli eye Victor Osimhen successor

Napoli have turned towards the Premier League in their bid to sign a striker capable of replacing Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian forward has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, who may feel that their chances of landing him have grown due to Napoli’s stance.

L’Equipe claim that Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta is being targeted by the Italian club following his stunning end to the campaign under Oliver Glasner.

Bruno Fernandes lays down ultimatum

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has handed an ultimatum to the club, prove that they want him or the Portuguese playmaker will leave.

Speculation has been rife over the midfielder’s future as he wants to compete at the highest level, before Fernandes made his stance clear after Wednesday’s win over Newcastle.

“The club needs to want me,” Fernandes said. “I feel the club wants me to be a part of the future.

“As I said always, I don’t want to be a player that the club doesn’t want to have. If for some reason they don’t want to have me, I will go. But if they want me, I will stay.‌”
