Marnus Labuschagne has taken a candidate for catch of the year in England’s domestic T20 Blast competition (WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE).
Playing for Glamorgan against Gloucestershire, Labuschagne dived full-length and took the catch one-handed, centimetres from the ground, to remove Ben Charlesworth off the bowling of one-time Test spinner Mason Crane.
The wicket left Gloucestershire in deep trouble at 5-45 in the 10th over, still requiring 96 off 65 balls in chase of Glamorgan’s 6-140.

But while Labuschagne’s catch was the most spectacular moment of the match, the most dramatic came in the final over.
Gloucestershire’s innings was led by skipper Jack Taylor. While he kept his side in with a sniff, they still needed 11 from the final over.
When Taylor was run out off the fourth ball chasing a second run, it brought Josh Shaw to the crease needing seven off the final two deliveries.
He made two from the first ball, which meant Gloucestershire needed him to clear the boundary with the final ball to win.
Shaw put it five rows into the stands over the long-on boundary. The loss has virtually ended Glamorgan’s push for a finals berth.
Earlier, Labuschagne made 18.
Crane played his lone Test for England against Australia in the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney in 2018. He took figures of 1-193 from 48 overs as the Aussies won by an innings and 123 runs.
He had Usman Khawaja stumped for 171 to claim his only Test wicket.
