New Manchester United manger Ruben Amorim is expected to make signins to fit in with his club overhaul. Liverpool have business to do in two departments – with the Reds looking to add depth to their squad as they challenge for the title while also tying up current players on new contracts.
Manchester City suddenly look in need of star signings again to arrest their current slide, and expect plenty of business from teams threatened by relegation too. The likes of Southampton and Wolves could target loan deals as a quick fix as they fight for top-flight survival.

Owen urges Liverpool over VVD and Salah
Michael Owen has warned Liverpool they may need to break their current contract policy to secure the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah.
“I get clubs having this policy of saying when they get to a certain age, the contracts are going to be short and we’re never going to give them one that lasts X number of years,” he told aceodds.
“Sometimes you can see it coming with somebody. However, Mo Salah is a different animal to me. Yes, you’ve got to have some form of rules and regulations and structure at a club, but also, you’ve got to open your eyes to what’s in front of you.”Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah hardly miss a match. They’re as fit as fleas. They’re still at the top of their game. There are definitely a few years left in both of them. I would push the rules and regulations a little bit further if I were Liverpool to keep what are two of the players that you simply can’t afford to lose.”
