Gabriel and Phil Foden are among the most-selected stars on FPL
After some rare midweek action, FPL managers are ready to get stuck into another busy weekend of Premier League action. Top-flight bosses are usually keen to rotate at this stage of the season, owing to a congested fixture calendar.
But Express Sport is on hand to provide the low-down on who we expect to be available for Gameweek 15.
Gabriel – Arsenal
Gabriel is carrying an unspecified injury which forced him to miss Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Manchester United on Wednesday. The issue forced him off at half-time during the 5-2 victory over West Ham last Saturday.
Arteta confirmed that the injury was the same issue which forced off the Brazilian late in the big victory over Sporting CP in the Champions League. Arteta was typically coy about the injuries faced by his squad ahead of Sunday’s visit to Fulham.
The Spaniard said: “We have a few [injuries]. It’s matchday-minus-two so we have to modify a few players. Until tomorrow’s training session it’s very difficult to say.”
It is unclear whether Gabriel and fellow sidelined team-mate Riccardo Calafiori will make the trip across London. If Gabriel does miss out, it is likely that he will be replaced by Jakub Kiwior.
Phil Foden – Manchester City
Bronchitis forced Foden to miss Man City’s return to winning ways after a seven-match winless run for Pep Guardiola’s side. City swept aside Nottingham Forest in a 3-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium.
“Phil had bronchitis so when he has no fever he will be ready,” Guardiola revealed afterwards.
It seems he could be available for Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace as long as he feels well enough to do so. Whether Guardiola will want to change a winning team remains to be seen, though.
Kevin De Bruyne fired Man City to victory over Nottingham Forest
Kevin De Bruyne – Man City
There has been plenty of mystery over De Bruyne’s absences this season. Those questions were raised again after the Belgian dragged City to a big win over Forest. Guardiola was even forced to deny a rift with the midfielder after the game.
De Bruyne later cleared up his injury issues, telling Amazon Prime that a sports hernia has limited him to just six starts across all competitions. Guardiola is keen to manage the 33-year-old’s game time, and withdrew him after 74 minutes in Manchester on Wednesday.
That suggests he will be available to play against Palace.
Alisson Becker – Liverpool
Alisson has been absent since suffering a hamstring injury against Palace in early October. Caoimhin Kelleher has deputised since, but made a rare error to concede a late equaliser in Wednesday’s 3-3 draw with Newcastle.
The Brazilian is not yet ready to return. Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Merseyside derby, Arne Slot said: “Alisson is not ready yet, but [he will be] very soon.”

Cristian Romero – Tottenham
A late decision will be made on Romero ahead of Spurs’ clash with Chelsea. The defender has been out for several weeks with a toe injury.
“Cuti is due to train, we’re not doing much today but we’ll see how he goes tomorrow,” Ange Postecoglou said.
Meanwhile, Ben Davies was due for a scan today after suffering a suspected hamstring injury during Thursday’s defeat against Bournemouth. Micky van de Ven remains sidelined, with Postecoglou set for a defensive dilemma.
