It seems Cole Palmer is now inspiring fans whether he has a ball at his feet or a kettle in his hands. The 22-year-old has again started the season on fire on the pitch, scoring six times in seven league games for Chelsea.

That tally included his four-goal haul in the 4-2 win over Brighton last month, making him the first Blues player to achieve that feat in the Premier League.

But while the English international has long boasted the ability to leave supporters stunned in front of goal, his tea-making skills have now left people open-mouthed, too.

It seems that the former Manchester City man isn’t fussed on tradition when making his morning brew, as he proved while making a TikTok video on behalf of clothes brand Burberry. Dressed in a long brown coat worth almost £2,500, Palmer appeared in a garden with everything he needed for a cuppa placed on a table in front of him.

Palmer started steadily enough, taking a classic English breakfast tea bag from a jar. Despite appearing somewhat short of Hollywood standards, he then picked a ‘World’s Best Actor’ mug, claiming it was “because I’ve just been acting and I’m the world’s best actor.”

All seemed normal as the forward placed the teabag into the mug and added the customary boiling water from the kettle. Once he revealed “I don’t like mine strong,” though, eyebrows started raising.

Sky has slashed the price of its Sky Sports, Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix bundle in an unbeatable new deal that saves £216 and includes 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

With Ultra HD included at no extra cost, football fans can enjoy the 2024/25 season with crystal clear picture quality.

After pouring in a copious amount of milk before he had removed the teabag, he explained: “Some milk in while the teabag’s in though. Then I give it a squeeze and then I’m done.”

He seemed more than satisfied with his efforts, saying “This is my brew” before affording himself a few sips and declaring his effort a “top” one. His method left fans divided though, with some Chelsea fans vowing to change their own technique just to follow Palmer’s routine.

“I don’t like removing my teabag until I’m done,” wrote @TemitopeOjo11. “But I’ll try your style too.” @t0pezh added: “Is there anything he cannot do?” and @Ainne_10 lauded: “Cole’s calming cuppa.”

Not everyone was impressed though, with @drinkTea77 mocking the advert by posting: “‘This is my brew’ after throwing a tea bag in a cup water. Someone teach this man how to make actual tea, it will change his life.”

It’s not the only video Palmer has made since finalising his deal with Burberry. Last season’s PFA Young Player of the Year winner has also been filmed indulging in a spot of fishing, with the company titling the clip “What can’t he do?”
