Express Sport keeps you up to date with the latest transfer developments
The Premier League season is done and dusted, giving the majority of clubs license to focus solely on a busy summer of squad improvement. For Manchester United and Manchester City, there is still the important matter of an FA Cup final to decide this weekend.
Although not directly transfer related, the window itself was blown wide open when Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino parted ways on Tuesday. Exactly who steps in at Stamford Bridge, and their relationship with the club’s co-sporting directors, could have a huge impact on which deals get done.
A change in management at Liverpool is also set to have an effect as Arne Slot – now officially unveiled as Jurgen Klopp’s successor – sets about building a group of players in his own image.

Pickford pledges future to Toffees
Jordan Pickford has made it clear he will remain with Everton next season despite transfer interest from Chelsea.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper is closing in on 300 appearances for the Toffees since signing in 2017.
And an end-of-season social media post suggests that he will stick around to reach that landmark next term.
“Proud of this team and how we overcame the challenges thrown at us during the season!” he wrote. “Can’t wait to kick on and build next season! Thanks for your support throughout the season!”
Chelsea and Newcastle eye up £86m keeper
Chelsea and Newcastle United are two of the clubs interested in Valencia goalakeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, according to HITC.
It is claimed that the La Liga side are willing to sell their coveted stopper this summer, although they may need to come down from his £86million release clause to attract a serious buyer.
Mamardashvili, 23, stands at a towering 6ft 6in and has three seasons of regular top-flight experience under his belt.
Arsenal chase £21m star
Arsenal are amongst a group of Premier League sides ‘on the trail’ of Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso, according to TuttoJuve.
The 24-year-old has some of the best dribbling stats of any player in Europe, and his form at club level has resulted in a recent promotion to the Italian national team.
Valued at just over £21million, Manchester United are also believed to be keeping tabs on Cambiaso.
But any interested party is likely to face a tough task prising him away from Turin, as Juventus reportedly consider him ‘untransferable’.

Arne Slot approves first Liverpool deal
New Liverpool manager Arne Slot has approved the signing of PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko, according to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri.
Slot and the Reds’ chief scout, Barry Hunter, are both believed to have given the green light.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also in the hunt, but Liverpool are in a good position to strike a deal for the 21-year-old after Euro 2024, and they could shake hands on a fee lower than PSV’s £42.5million asking price.
Man Utd rocked by £43m bid
Manchester United’s pursuit of Leny Yoro could be over as Paris Saint-Germain have seen a £43million transfer bid accepted by Lille, according to Sports Zone.
Yoro only turned 18 last November but he already has more than 70 senior appearances under his belt in central defence.
Liverpool and Real Madrid have also been linked with the Frenchman, but PSG appear to have struck first.
